Nutritional Nugget: Melatonin

Melatonin carries out wide ranges of roles in the body. The most well-known function is its control of circadian (daily) rhythms. Melatonin is produced in the pineal gland in the brain and helps control sleep-wake cycles. It can be used in a supplement form and it is not habit-forming. It may help you get much needed sleep during this stressful time of the season.
