Nutritional Nugget: Spirulina

Spirulina is a superfood that is considered to be one of the most potent foods on the planet.  Spirulina is a cyanobacteria.  It could detoxify heavy metals, eliminate candida, lower blood pressure, improve cholesterol, speed weight loss, and may help alleviate allergies and sinus issues.  It is high in antioxidants and chlorophyll.  Rich in protein and a good source of vitamins, spirulina is also  a great source of iron because it is highly absorbable.  It also contains about 26 times the calcium as milk!  Spirulina is a great addition to almost any smoothie.  It does pair well with many smoothies we offer and we will make you a smoothie that your will fall in LOVE with.
